Lipton Seat

Lipton Seat is situated in the  Badulla district  and could be reached from Haputale and Bandarawela towns. It is a great destination with a panoramic view, and could be considered as the most attractive observation point of Sri Lanka, located on top of the Poonagala hill. It has been named after a famous tea planter who used to survey surrounding region of his tea plantations from here. The road to the top is narrow and some parts of the road have not been repaired since built by British Government. On a clear day the view of several provinces and districts from the Lipton Seat is out of this world.
