Maduru Oya National Park is situated on the Uva and Eastern parts of Sri Lanka of Sri Lanka. This park provides a sanctuary to wildlife, especially elephants and most importantly protects the immediate catchments of five reservoirs surrounding the park.A community of Sri Lankan aborigines called Veddha People live within the park boundary. The park is also well known for its elephant habitat and the best time to witness the herd is when the sun begins to set over the reservoir.
