Giragama Tea Factory

Giragama Tea Factory is located in close proximity to the city of Kandy in the central province of Sri Lanka. The Giragama tea factory was established in 1903 and manufactures low grown and long leaf tea. This tea factory which is situated in Pilimatalawa in Kandy is popular for the orthodox tea production. The specialty of orthodox tea leaves is that the integrity of the leaves are maintained, they are not chopped or shredded rather the the processing is done using the wholeness of the leaves.
